Poop is a funny word.

Hey macrobaye, if I can make a suggestion...make use of the emoticons when you're joking. It might help us to better understand your meaning.

Just a suggestion

No sorry it wasn't written as a joke - what it was, was a typical cheap shot at Microsoft. Even your thread title was misleading. So don't try to make it seem different then it was and don't treat me like i'm some daft bastard who can't take a joke.

If Microsoft is irked that someone else has a like-sounding domain name then they should have been a little more intelligent, pro-active and registered ALL forms of the "microsoft.com" domain name.

What do you think google.com thinks of phroogle.com?

But... I'm not here to argue OR take sides.. All i'm saying is if I were one of the world's uppermost software companies I'd be sure to register ALL variations and spelling [phonetic and otherwise] of my domain name and point them ALL to my domain..but thats just me heh

I don't care what system you use. You have the right to prefer one system over another, you even have the right to say it here.  But what I do mind is when you get facts wrong. Apple is just as anal about their trademarks protection as Microsoft is, maybe even more so. Microsoft and Apple aren't so different you know, and even their latest OS'es aren't so different either. Both companies have their good and bad sides, and both systems have similar strengths.  So choose the system you prefer, but don't make it a religion.
That's good for both Windows and Apple zealots.

see reality is you thought you would talk s**t about Microsoft and when you got called out on it you claim "it was all a joke." You're transparent macrobaye - like a window. You picked the wrong place to spread propoganda. I work with Microsoft a lot and i'm proud to call the guys/gals i work with over there friends. So i won't stand by as you s**t about them.

And i'm sure if someone was slamming Apple you would "take up arms" and the fact is the only person you've probably ever spoke to over at Apple is some tech support guy when you had an issue. Imagine if you had friends there across 5 divisions.

Doesn't microsoft own a huge ($150 million - non-voting stock) portion of Apple? Makes all these Apple/Microsoft arguments kind of pointless, doesn't it?

Well, I know that Microsoft saved Apple by buying a huge protion of their stock (non-voting) back in 1996 or something when Apple was going to go bankrupt.  Don't know if they sold them or still have them though.
BTW: they didn't save Apple out of kindness, but because without Apple there, Mirosoft is certain to be in a monopoly position and get broken down in pieces like Bell did, and they know it. Microsoft WANTS Apple to be present on the market, whatever small the portion.

Paxx, I believe that it was Apple who saved Microsoft...I mean without Apple, Windows wouldn't even exist. Who else would they copy off of?
